Don’t let the chaotic outskirts of Trapani deter you from visiting this wonderful city, as its historical Baroque center is beautiful and a real pleasure to explore and discover. Walk down Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the main artery then keep going and admire the Neptune fountain, the church of San Francesco, the Palazzo Bernardo Ferro and the old style shops and stores that dot the city. The Tramontana promenade  is perfect to watch sunset: but before the sun sets, make sure you visit Trapani’s lively and wonderful market, where fishermen and farmers sell their bounty of fresh seafood and produce.
