Gargano

The green coast of Apulia, for a holiday in contact with nature

The northernmost part of Puglia, Gargano is a beautiful and lush promontory covered in woods and dotted with pretty, traditional villages. The Gargano National Park, established in 1977, is not far from Foggia and includes Mount Gargano, the Tremiti islands archipelago and the Foresta Umbra, a beautiful wood protected area that is definitely worth a visit. Although there are beaches in the area, this region doesn’t have the same crystal clear waters of the Salento, but still shines for its natural beauty and offers visitors plenty of chances to relax and have fun in an incredible setting of medieval towns and fishing villages on the sea.
