Aci Castello

Slightly North of Catania, Aci Castello is a small seaside town that developed around a castle, as the name suggests, that was built under Norman rule in 1076. Other than the Castello Normanno, you can visit the Casa del Nespolo, a museum dedicated to the novel “I Malavoglia” by Giovanni Verga and a necropolis. The town’s main square, too, is beautiful and an incredible spot to stroll or rest.
