Sights & landmarks

When one thinks of Puglia, the first thing that comes to mind is the trulli, the uniquely cone shaped houses that dot Alberobello. Alberobello is often very crowded with tourists, but this doesn’t mean that you should skip visiting it: the trulli are truly magical to look at and if only you stray from the main road, you will find some peaceful and quiet corners for taking in the unique beauty of this place. The Basilica, too, dedicated to Saints Cosma and Damiano is worth a stop, while shopping will certainly take up some time in your day, as Alberobello features many little stores and workshops where one can buy handcrafted textiles.
